The objective of this program is to equip students with the competencies, theoretical and practical skills necessary to gain employment in the pharmacy environment. Student will develop interpersonal skills as well as a strong sense of responsibility for this client-centered field.
Pharmacy technicians work collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal pharmaceutical outcomes for patients. Every day, pharmacy technicians work to prepare prescriptions and verify that what was prescribed is dispensed properly and safely to patients.
Approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

The program covers pharmaceutical dispensing, drug classifications, prescription processing, inventory management, patient communication, pharmacy software (Kroll/Kroll One), and pharmacy law and ethics.

How long is the Pharmacy Assistant diploma?
The Pharmacy Assistant diploma is approximately 12 months in duration, including practical training components.
