As a trained PSW, you may look after patients in a home, hospital, and/or long-term care facility.
All our vocational programs are regulated and approved by the Superintendent of Career Colleges under Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005
Short, effective programs allow you to earn your diploma in as little as 4 to 12 months.

The objective of our Personal Support Worker Program is to train students and help them acquire the skills needed to care for individuals living in long-term care facilities and the community. Our program is based on the accredited and standard NACC PSW curriculum and focuses on the following areas:
In our PSW program, you will learn how to assist clients to function as independently as possible, working safely, ever mindful of preserving the dignity of those under your care. A career as a PSW provides opportunities in physical, mental, community or personal health services fields. With an aging population, the need for PSW graduates is high, so enroll today to pursue a career in this well-respected field.

How long is the PSW program?
The PSW certificate program is approximately 6 months in duration with a combination of classroom instruction and practical placement hours.
What jobs can I get as a PSW?
PSW graduates are in high demand across Ontario. You can work in long-term care homes, retirement homes, hospitals, home care agencies, and community support services. Starting wages in Ontario typically range from $20–$25+ per hour.
Is there a clinical placement component?
Yes. The PSW program includes a required practical placement in a real healthcare setting, giving you hands-on experience with clients before you graduate.
Is the PSW certificate recognized across Ontario?
Yes. CJ Healthcare College is a registered Ontario career college and the PSW program meets the standards set by the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) and related regulatory bodies.
